Cienfuegfos was founded in 1819 by French settlers, and was first called Fernandina de Jagua, making the city just over 200 years old. As a result, the centre, which dates back to that time, has its own architecture and street plan, which differs from what you will see in other Cuban cities. Because of this, Cienfuegos, just like Trinidad and Santa Clara, has its own character, which makes it worth a visit.
Would you like to make a trip through Cuba yourself and are you curious about the possibilities? Then take a look at the travel itineraries that we have put together for inspiration. You can book these trips directly, but we are also happy to create a personal programme based on your wishes and ideas.
